Your Child's Health
Integral Quality Care wants to help your child grow up healthy and happy. These services include well child checkups for your child from birth through age 21. Florida's program for regular well child checkups is called CHCUP (Child Health Check-up).
Your child will grow and change quickly. That is why you need to choose a doctor and visit even when he or she is not sick. These visits are called well child checkups. During a well child checkup, your child's doctor:
- Does a complete physical exam
- Checks your child's growth and nutrition
- Checks your child's vision, hearing, and teeth
- Gives shots (immunizations) as needed
- Orders lab work (e.g., blood lead test) as needed
- Gives you and your child education and help with your child's health and development
Well child checkups let you and their doctor know that your child is growing properly.
Your child should get a well child checkup at the following ages:
| Newborn | 7 years |
| By one month | 8 years |
| 2 months | 9 years |
| 4 months | 10 years |
| 6 months | 11 years |
| 9 months | 12 years |
| 12 months | 13 years |
| 15 months | 14 years |
| 18 months | 15 years |
| 2 years | 16 years |
| 30 months | 17 years |
| 3 years | 18 years |
| 4 years | 19 years |
| 5 years | 20 years |
