About Integral Quality Care - Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Health care can be confusing. We want to help you understand how the Integral Quality Care health plan works. Here are answers to common questions. For other questions, call toll free at 1-866-258-4326, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., except on State holidays.
How does someone enroll with Integral Quality Care?
To see if you are eligible for Florida Medicaid, you need to contact Medicaid Options Enrollment number at 1-888-367-6554. You can then choose Integral Quality Care as your Medicaid health care plan.
What if I did not receive my Welcome Packet or ID card?
If you did not receive your Welcome Packet or ID card, call 1-866-258-4326.
What if I lose my ID card?
If you lose your ID card, call 1-866-258-4326. We will send you another one.
What if my address or telephone number changes?
You must contact the Department of Children and Families (DCF) at 1-888-367-6554 or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) at 1-800-772-1213 when you have a change of address, phone number, earning status or additions to your family. You should talk to your case manager.
What is a Primary Care Provider(PCP)?
A PCP is a family doctor, general practitioner, internist, pediatrician, OB/GYN or a Frederally Qualified Health Center in our network who will be your main health care provider.
Your PCP is responsible for managing all of your health care needs. If you do not choose a PCP, Integral Quality Care will select one for you.
The name of your PCP is on your ID card.
Can I change my PCP if I need to?
Yes, you can change at any time. Call 1-866-258-4326 for help.
What if I need to see a specialist?
Your PCP will refer you to a specialist in our network.
I need a ride to my provider. How do
I get there?
We can help you get find a ride to your provider. Call us at 1-866-258-4326.
Do I have copay? Will I have to pay out of pocket
for my prescriptions?
No, there is NEVER a copay for medical care or prescriptions. Your prescriptions
must be filled at a participating pharmacy.
What if I get sick in the middle of the night or while I am out of town?
You should always call your PCP first unless
it is an emergency. Your PCP will let you know what to do.
If my PCP can’t see me, should I go to the Emergency
Room?
If you feel that your life or a member of your family’s life is in danger, or there
is risk of permanent harm, you should go to the Emergency Room or call 911.
An emergency is a medical condition that could cause serious health problems or
even death if not treated immediately.
Examples of emergencies include:
Poisoning
Sudden chest pains
Stroke
Trouble breathing
Broken bone
Bad burns
Overdose
Convulsions
Deep cuts or very bad bleeding, especially if you are pregnant
Car accident
Thoughts about hurting yourself or others
What hospitals can I go to?
Integral Quality Care uses many hospitals. Check your provider directory or search
on Find-A-Provider
on this website.
What if I need to see a dentist?
Dental services are covered for enrollees under the age of 21.
Limited dental services are covered for enrollees over the age of 21. Call
1-866-258-4326 to find out more about
your dental services.
What if I have a serious health problem or a
long term health condition?
We have a case management program. A case manager will work with you about your
special health care needs. Your case
manager will help you find the right medical services and community resources.
How can I find mental health services?
Psychcare will arrange your mental health and substance abuse services. They can
help you get treatment you need. Call Psychcare 1-800-221-5487, prompt #3, to talk
to them.
What can I do if I am unhappy with my provider,
the care I received or with a decision Integral Quality Care has made about my medical
care?
You may not always be happy with Integral Quality Care or your care. We want to
hear from you. If you have a problem
with a provider, or if you are unhappy about the quality of care you have received,
you should let us know right away.
Integral Quality Care cannot take your benefits away because you make a complaint,
grievance or appeal. Call
